Cascadians present at the California Resource Recovery Association conference and tradeshow

Our presenters include Amity Lumper, who will discuss "Business Opportunities and Climate Change", and Michelle Caulfield, presenting on "Turning Tear-off Shingles into Hot Mix Asphalt: Innovation towards Zero Waste and a Smaller Carbon Footprint."

 

Steven Sherman, who leads our California office, will be on the "Making it Mandatory" panel, discussing mandatory recycling ordinances. He will also present on “Planning Your Municipal Food Scraps Program" , and will teach a training on implementing a commercial food and organics recycling program.

 

Cascadia continues to expand service delivery in California. We understand California governments’ needs for outstanding research, program planning, cost analysis, policy development, program evaluation, and business technical assistance. We are currently working with the Cities of Hayward, Los Angeles, Palo Alto, San Carlos, San Mateo, Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley, and Watsonville; Alameda and Santa Cruz Counties; the South Bayside Waste Management Authority; and the (former) California Integrated Waste Management Board, among other California jurisdictions.
