Cascadia Senior Manager Steven Sherman was instrumental in developing a recently published residential organics program best practices guide, "Beyond Recycling: Composting Food Scraps and Soiled Paper." The EPA-funded publication describes programs and policies for the expansion of residential yard trimmings programs to include additional materials such as food scraps. Steven developed survey questions, identified existing programs, conducted interviews, developed case studies, and wrote much of the material covering technical, policy, and permitting aspects.
