Our Cascadia family is growing...

February 11, 2010 - We are pleased to announce our merger with Environmental Planning Consultants (EPC), a consulting firm based in San Jose, California. With EPC, we will offer expanded solid waste reduction management capabilities to our clients, complementing our existing set of services.

Since 1991, EPC has specialized in zero waste planning, recycling program design and implementation, materials recovery and other processing facility design and evaluation, municipal waste contracts and rate services, and green business technical assistance.

Richard Gertman, EPC Founder and new Cascadia Principal, is a recycling pioneer and solid waste management veteran. He has worked in the public sector to design solid waste and recycling programs for some of the country’s leading cities, worked as a recycling coordinator for a hauling company, and consulted extensively with the public and private sectors.

Cascadia and EPC have collaborated successfully on projects including San Jose’s Zero Waste Plan and green business technical assistance for Palo Alto, CA.
