Cascadia is delighted to welcome Spencer Reeder to our Seattle Office as a Senior Manager within our Climate, Energy, and Sustainability practice area. Spencer brings over 15 years of science, technology, and environmental sector experience covering strategic planning, research, and policy from both the private and public sector.
As the lead climate change policy strategist at the Washington State Department of Ecology (2007-2010), Spencer was a key driver in developing the state’s climate change adaptation and mitigation programs and policies. In his role at Ecology, Spencer served as the Chair of the Climate Change Committee for the Western Governor’s Agreement on Ocean Health, was the State liaison to the University of Washington’s Climate Impact Group, and led the formation of numerous new partnerships with state, local, federal, and international agencies on climate change policy and research.
Spencer joins the Cascadia Team to provide clients throughout the Northwest and nationwide with policy, planning, and program services related to climate adaptation, carbon reduction and management strategies, and sustainability.
Spencer earned an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering Sciences from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington.
