Christy manages projects that help public agencies reduce waste, safeguard human health and the environment, and manage resources efficiently. Her work helps clients foster behavior change and measure results in resource conservation, waste prevention, recycling, and sustainability. She has conducted strategic planning, survey research, market analysis, indicator development, and evaluation projects. She brings more than a dozen years of experience in environmental analysis and decision-making. Christy is experienced in both quantitative and qualitative analyses, and has written dozens of reports and articles that accurately present complex issues in clear language for both policymakers and the public. Before joining Cascadia, Christy conducted and managed environmental, land use, and transportation projects at ECONorthwest in Seattle, and also performed research at Sightline Institute (then Northwest Environment Watch). During the Clinton Administration, Christy served as an environmental policy analyst in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, covering such issues as sustainable development, water quality, pollution prevention, climate change, hazardous waste, and environmental education. She holds a BA degree (with Honors) from Stanford University and an MS from the University of Michigan’s School of Natural Resources and Environment. Since 2001, she has served on the board of Sustainable Seattle, a sustainability pioneer.
