Katie oversees the smooth implementation of recycling market studies, waste composition studies, and research for government and business clients seeking to enhance the efficiency of their buildings and operations. This work has most recently included developing deconstruction case studies and C&D processing best management practices to support the King County GreenTools Program, researching a broad range of flooring options for Washington Department of Ecology’s Beyond Waste Plan, managing the waste composition study of Seattle’s commercial and self-haul waste streams, and working as part of a team to assess the potential for the Washington State Convention and Trade Center to achieve LEED-EB certification. Katie has a BS in Biology from the University of Puget Sound. She is LEED accredited, and certified as a Sustainable Building Advisor through the National Sustainable Building Advisor Program (NaSBAP). Katie grew up in Alaska and enjoys knitting whenever she can.
