Katie is Cascadia’s Human Resources Generalist. As part of our Administration team, Katie is responsible for a variety of HR functions including recruiting, benefits administration, and orientation. In addition to her day-to-day tasks, Katie lends a hand on project work such as recycling outreach and waste composition studies. Prior to joining Cascadia, Katie worked for the University of Washington as a Recruiter and Employment Specialist. She holds a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification and is an AIRS Certified Internet Recruiter (CIR). Katie graduated cum laude from the University of Washington with a BA in Political Science and is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). Katie works part-time from her home in North Carolina, but keeps in touch with her Seattle roots by drinking a copious amount of coffee on a daily basis. Most of her caffeinated energy is spent chasing after her two adopted puppies, Bristol and Charlotte.
