Our People

Kelly assists on a variety of projects that inform and educate public and private-sector clients about waste prevention and resource conservation. In recent months, she has offered education and outreach about recycling and composting to restaurants, retirement communities, and multi-family tenants throughout the Puget Sound. Kelly also manages Seattle Public Utilities’ Resource Venture Twitter and Facebook accounts and helps to inform Cascadia on social media strategies. She brings extensive environmental research experience and has worked in a variety of laboratory and field settings whose topics range from the bioremediation of chlorinated solvents to the effects of elevated CO2 on switchgrass. Kelly currently serves as Director of Media and Communications for Omprakash (www.omprakash.org ), a non-profit that connects international volunteers with a worldwide network of organizations. Kelly holds a BA from Bowdoin College in Biochemistry and Environmental Studies. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, sailing, and climbing around the Northwest.
