Our People

Maryellen supports the climate and energy projects at Cascadia. Seattle’s Community Power Works program is currently the focus of her work, through which she provides assistance to home owners and contractors during the energy upgrade process. Maryellen graduated with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Music from Bowdoin College. At Bowdoin, Maryellen used GIS technology to develop and execute a methodology for assessing the projected impacts of sea level rise on small coastal towns, and assisted in calculating a carbon inventory and recommendation writing for two local towns. Outside of work, Maryellen enjoys biking, swing dancing, camping, singing, and reading when she gets the chance.
