Since 2004, Cascadia has managed all aspects of this 14-year old program, providing education for landscape professionals and residents about safe and environmentally friendly lawn and garden practices. For landscape professionals, Cascadia offers annual in-store trainings and other workshops for nursery sales staff, classes for college-level horticulture students, and an annual full-day integrated pest management (IPM) workshop for landscape professionals that draws over 300 participants. Cascadia has held a special hands-on session for Spanish speakers as part of the IPM workshop. Cascadia leads all aspects of these trainings and workshops – including promotion, recruiting speakers, logistical coordination, and evaluation.  To better reach all Seattle residents, Cascadia worked closely with the City's Environmental Justice Needs Assessment group and created an interactive presentation specifically for non-English speakers.
