WRIA 45 Instream Flow Study
Client:
As a subcontractor to Sound Resolutions, Cascadia Consulting Group worked with the WRIA 45 Planning Unit to develop a scope of work for an instream flow incremental methodology, or IFIM, study.  Cascadia’s role in this project was to assist Sound Resolutions with stakeholder involvement and meeting facilitation, and to synthesize existing scientific information into a Physical Assessment of the watershed.  For the Physical Assessment, Cascadia gathered a suite of documents about the watershed from a variety of sources, and summarized the information in a format that Subcommittee members found easy to follow.  This document helped to focus the Subcommittee’s attention on the areas of the watershed that may need instream flows to be set, and clearly explained the 20-year history of instream flows in the watershed.  Chelan County, lead agency for WRIA 45, was impressed with the clarity and quality of this document.

Cascadia did a super job customizing the carbon footprint tool for our region and training us on it so that we could also be experts on the product. Working with the Cascadia staff was a pleasure. We were greatly impressed with their high level of intellect and openness, and the effort they put into becoming experts on our region to assist us better on the project! A very successful project!
