Green Operations Audit and LEED-EB Feasibility Study
Client: R.C. Hedreen, Co.
Seattle based hotel development company RC Hedreen Co. sought out Cascadia to better understand the environmental impacts of its three Seattle hotels. The hotels, which represent the largest national brands, were audited for environmental performance in the areas of energy, water, waste, transportation, purchasing and indoor air quality. Cascadia also conducted a carbon footprint, waste audit, and feasibility study of LEED-EB certification for each hotel. Hedreen came away from this project with the environmental solutions to turn its hotels into the nation’s top green destinations for individual guest and corporate clients alike.

Conducting an assessment of our environmental impact allowed us to more clearly define and share our progress with guests and employees, as well as to create benchmarks and strategies for the future. Working with Cascadia Consulting on our hotel footprint was an incredibly successful experience and we are planning to continue our work with them to explore the impact of additional areas of our operation.
