Environmental Audit and Carbon Footprint
Client: Kerry Group
Kerry Group, a global food ingredients company, is committed to producing quality food products in a socially and environmentally responsible manner. In a flagship effort, Kerry Group sought Cascadia to conduct the company’s first carbon footprint at their Seattle manufacturing plant. Cascadia also performed an assessment of the plant’s energy and water use and waste production, analyzed the potential impacts of impending sustainable food legislation. This project will likely serve as a blueprint for assessing the environmental performance of Kerry Group facilities worldwide.

Conducting an assessment of our environmental impact allowed us to more clearly define and share our progress with guests and employees, as well as to create benchmarks and strategies for the future. Working with Cascadia Consulting on our hotel footprint was an incredibly successful experience and we are planning to continue our work with them to explore the impact of additional areas of our operation.
