Water and Natural Resources
Beginning in 2004, Cascadia worked with Sound Resolutions to assist the WRIA 16 Planning Unit in crafting a clear, concise, and effective watershed plan, handling all aspects of plan development from the creation of an outline to the final executive summary. We subsequently helped the Planning Unit and Sound Resolutions to develop a Detailed Implementation Plan, with specific sequenced actions to take in order to implement each of the watershed plan’s recommendations. We conducted a review of local land use ordinances and plans to determine how they may overlap or conflict with the recommendations in their watershed plan and recommend topics on which the Planning Unit might consider submitting comments.

Cascadia writes plans that we use, that don’t sit idly on a shelf. Their staff has a clear understanding of the material, can communicate it effectively and knows the right questions to ask. They are fast, efficient and on budget and stick to their tasks. If we had to pick our consultant all over again, it would be Cascadia.
