Water and Natural Resources
Cascadia assisted the Washington Department of Health with a study of a state grant program which assists drinking water systems with the costs of acquisition and rehabilitation of smaller, failing water systems. We worked with Sound Resolutions to facilitate an inter-agency workgroup which developed recommendations regarding changes to aspects of this grant program. Based on the workgroup’s conclusions and on background research, we completed an internal review draft of the report. We also conducted numerous phone interviews with water system staff in order to quantify the financial need for water system acquisition and rehabilitation. These data were used to inform a funding request for the program.

Cascadia writes plans that we use, that don’t sit idly on a shelf. Their staff has a clear understanding of the material, can communicate it effectively and knows the right questions to ask. They are fast, efficient and on budget and stick to their tasks. If we had to pick our consultant all over again, it would be Cascadia.
