Chelsey Armstrong is the Administrative Assistant for our Seattle office. She provides administrative support, serves as receptionist, and helps keep our Seattle staff happy, healthy, and productive. Chelsey supports all office operations including complex scheduling, workload planning, and securing travel arrangements. She assists in coordinating Cascadia’s annual holiday party and making sure there are adequate amounts of coffee and peanut butter on hand to keep the office functioning.
In the evenings, Chelsey attends Seattle University where she is pursuing her Master of Education in School Counseling. After completing her degree, she hopes to serve as a counselor in a high school with a large refugee and immigrant population. Prior to joining the Cascadia team, Chelsey served as an AmeriCorps member with the King County Housing Authority, held multiple roles supporting refugees and asylum seekers, and taught English in Thailand. Chelsey holds a B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Women's Studies from Seattle Pacific University. On the rare occasions when Chelsey is not working, in school, or studying, she loves to explore farmers markets (she's an aspiring vegan), do yoga, and spend time at her family’s Christmas tree farm in Tacoma.
