Maya Monroe is Cascadia's HR & Operations Manager In her role, she administers benefits, welcomes new members to the Cascadia team, and coordinates employee relations and performance management. Maya's day-to-day responsibilities range from conducting trainings and implementing corporate policies to supporting Cascadia's equity and inclusion initiative and ensuring we remain compliant with employment law. Maya recently rejoined the company as one of our many "boomerang" employees who come back to Cascadia after working or living elsewhere. Maya recently returned from London, where she received an MSc degree in Development Management at the London School of Economics and Political Science and worked with UNICEF to mitigate employee turnover. She also has a certificate in Project Management from Duke University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Washington. In her free time, you can find Maya walking between her favorite restaurants in Seattle, at board meetings for Planned Parenthood’s Title X Information and Education Committee, or knitting sweaters for her excessive plant collection.
