Caroline Burney

Caroline joined Cascadia in spring 2017 to provide community engagement and outreach expertise for the Seattle Public Utilities Green Business Program and a variety of multifamily projects across the Seattle area.

Before joining Cascadia, Caroline was a part of the inaugural cohort of the M.A.Ed Urban Environmental Education program, a partnership between Islandwood, a Seattle-area environmental education organization, and Antioch University. While in this program, she developed expertise in facilitation and program development. Caroline also worked as a community organizer coordinating successful campaigns around energy and environmental issues all across the country, including implementing a statewide fracking ban in New York. Caroline graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a B.A. in Environmental Policy and Anthropology.

When not at work, you can find Caroline baking pies or exploring Seattle via bike in search of the city’s best taco.
