Kristina Zeynalova

Project Assistant

Background

Kristina joined Cascadia in 2018 to support Recycling and Materials Management projects through research, analysis, and onsite technical assistance to businesses and residences throughout the Bay Area. Prior to Cascadia, Kristina interned with the San Francisco Department of the Environment as part of their Zero Waste team. She has also worked with an Oakland based shareholder advocacy group on a research project surrounding the current landscape of e-waste regulation, recovery and collection schemes, and producer responsibility and stewardship efforts. She holds an MS degree in Environmental Studies from San Jose State University, where she focused her thesis research on examining EPR policies and their influence on sustainable design and circular economy efforts within the electronics industry.

An Oakland resident of seven years, Kristina fills her spare time with plenty of yoga, snowboarding, and backpacking the Sierras and redwood forests of Northern California with her small but feisty Italian Greyhound.
