Maddie provides management and analysis expertise for waste and recycling projects across the country. She relies on her experience researching climate change, managing sustainability projects, and engaging the public around environmental issues to provide thoughtful planning, outreach, and implementation of sustainable waste management programs.
Prior to Cascadia, Maddie completed an M.A. in Global Affairs and Public Policy at the Schwarzman Scholars program in Beijing. She has led and assisted projects at a variety of non-profits and social enterprises. Some of these projects include a Yangtze River pollution management plan for the Paulson Institute, a technical composting manual for Compost Technical Services, and a series of articles on lead contamination of drinking water for BeCause Water, Inc. Outside of the office, Maddie can be found training for her next marathon, baking savory breads, or meandering through a local farmers market.
