Since joining Cascadia in 2015, Marie has worked across all of Cascadia's lines of business on projects spanning a range of sustainability areas, from green stormwater infrastructure and Puget Sound recovery to transportation electrification and climate planning and adaptation. Currently, she provides zero waste policy and implementation expertise and project management to Cascadia’s corporate, institutional, and public sector clients. She is also a member of Cascadia’s graphic design team and serves as the consulting operations manager, providing internal planning and project management support and training across the company. She brings experience in environmental and sustainability policy analysis, performance measurement and reporting, as well as experience with community engagement and facilitation on social and environmental programs in regional and international settings. Marie currently sits on the board of Zero Waste Washington, and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Republic of Azerbaijan. Prior to Cascadia, she worked at the City of Seattle in the Office of Sustainability & Environment where she completed a city-wide sustainability assessment and supported the mayor’s initiative to advance equity in the city’s environmental work. Marie has an MPA from the University of Washington’s Evans School of Public Policy & Governance, as well as a BA in Economics and International Affairs from Trinity University.
