Signe joined Cascadia in 2019 as a SPARKS Social Marketing Intern. In this role, Signe is focused on planning and managing logistics for the Pacific Northwest Social Marketing Association’s annual SPARKS Conference, as well as lending her event planning, social marketing, and creative skills to support other campaigns and initiatives at Cascadia. For SPARKS, Signe is coordinating logistics of a two-day event and overseeing both outward-facing and internal executive communications. Signe also led the design of a community parklet space for Seattle Department of Transportation’s PARKing Day--conducting outreach to inspire more than 200 community members to adopt new environmental practices--and Signe assists with ongoing outreach, website content, social media, and Spanish translation for the EnviroStars Regional Green Business Program. Before coming to Cascadia, Signe worked in environmental education, event planning and volunteer management roles. She holds a B.S. in Environmental Studies/Sociology and Spanish from Whitman College.
