Waste Characterization
Dumpster diving is one of our specialties.Through hands-on primary research at material recovery facilities (MRFs), transfer stations and landfills, our research team provides detailed waste characterization studies which quantify and characterize the material types that make up an organization’s waste, recycling and composting streams.
The product of this work is a comprehensive scientific report, with findings, analysis and recommendations on reducing waste generation while increasing waste diversion and recycling.
With this data in-hand, clients are empowered to set realistic goals and targets for solid waste management planning, recycling planning, Zero Waste planning, and LEED EB documentation and reporting.
Our customized studies range from short, on-site visual audits to multi-year data sampling and sorting of hundreds of types of materials. What kind of study can we design for you?
