Cascadia provides education and outreach services in the areas of integrated pest management and pesticide reduction, building healthy soil, and “right plant, right place” practices, leading directly to informed behavior change in key demographics.Our services include:
- Designing and implementing technical trainings for public and professional audiences
- Designing and conducting educational programs on natural yard care topics
- Conceptualizing, writing, and producing education and outreach materials
- Designing and implementing social marketing strategies

Food scraps from our kitchen and cafeteria are now collected for off-site composting. So far, the effort is diverting 1,400 pounds of waste per week from the landfill, and will save Children’s [Hospital] about 40 percent on our annual waste bill.
